The Toronto Raptors are open to trading Kyle Lowry ahead of the trade deadline, and the impending free-agent guard would like to end up with the 76ers, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported Thursday.
The Raptors have rebounded from a poor start but would risk losing Lowry to free agency after the season. The Miami Heat and Los Angeles Clippers are also potential trade destinations per the report.
But Lowry, 34, is a Philadelphia native and would like to play there, per the report. He played at Villanova and attended high school in the city. The Raptors would be looking for picks, young players and expiring contracts in return, per the Inquirer.
Lowry is averaging 18 points, 6.5 assists and 5.5 rebounds per game this season, his 9th with the Raptors. He started his career in Memphis and played four seasons in Houston.
The six-time All Star is averaging 14.8 points per game to go with 6.2 assists in 940 career games (704 starts).
