Minnesota Lynx rookie Rennia Davis has a stress fracture in her left foot and will be out indefinitely, the team announced.
Davis was the No. 9 overall pick in the WNBA Draft on April 15.
The 6-foot-2 guard/forward played at Tennessee and led the Lady Vols in her senior season in scoring (17.3 points per game) and rebounding (8.8). She connected on 48.0 percent of field goals and 85.3 percent of free throws.
She left school as Tennessee royalty. She is only one of four players in program history to rank in career top 10 in points, points per game, rebounds and rebounds per game, joining Chamique Holdsclaw, Candace Parker and Tamika Catchings.
The Lynx are scheduled to open the season May 14 at home against the Phoenix Mercury.
